Bryan had immediately scooped up Eris Halla as soon as he saw the man was dead and they were safe to leave. He called an evac with someone who has a pokemon that can teleport. They were dropped off in the main foyer as bryan was going to be chaperoning for Eris until chu-e can stay with her. He had heard the news that she was not allowed to be left alone on the sub. He walked over to the fountain and sat down there breathing a bit heavier than normal. "You ok Eris?" he asked her, finally getting a breather to make sure she's fine. He pulled out a flask and took a big gulp from it, trying to obscure his thoughts at the moment through whiskey.

Bryan ran his fingers through his hair, from what he could tell Eris was just as torn up inside about it. [break][break]

She apologized but honestly he had no idea what to even say in return, he couldn't say it was ok because that would be a lie. She was young, not stupid. "It'll...It'll be fine. Rocket will help us." he tells her as he places his elbows on his knees and shakes them rapidly, trying to sooth his anxiety. [break][break]

He'd offer her a swig of his whiskey but, Chu-e Choi was probably already going to be upset over the whole situation, a drunk Eris wouldn't help. Where the fuck was he? It had only been a minute but it's felt like ages at this point. "No it's not." he says clearly just filling the pause after Eris's statement with some noise, he was stuck in his head.

He held his tongue. He never liked someone stopping him from taking a drink. [break][break]

It was the only thing keeping him together. He stood up, using his height to stop her from reaching his face and took another swig. "Don't do that again." he warned her only once. He ignored her comment about him not being at fault as he paced around lobby. He knew she was right but the only thing still convincing him that he was better than other rockets was that no one ever died because of him, but now that was gone. His identity crisis was resurfacing, the one that priam conrad had sedated for quite some time since Bryan found him so intoxicating and so talkative that he never really looked at himself. The reason behind his mask, was he the wolf or the lamb? Was he good or evil? What would Soleil think?

Worst of all, they hide behind the walls of alcohol and paranoia. Once they've been driven to the point of no turning back, they claw at anything to save their pride, pick at the cracks of others to smooth over their own flaws.

"You wanna pretend to be a good fucking person? What were you doing when Rocket made us go on those excursions? Shooting at Eva Morales, losing your fucking cool! Where were you when they wanted to invade Sootopolis? What about the people that have been interrogated? Or the defectors that probably got killed?"

It binds her tongue, carves into flesh and dredges emotions that threaten to steal her breath right there and then - That creature that bites so delicately into her mind, slithering through her subconscious and crawling up through her throat in a garbled mess.

Her luck had run out.[break][break]

Bryan took out a pokeball and dropped it behind him and Liligant appeared. "Lily. Reiner looks stressed." he told her and she knew just what to do. She rushed over to Reiner's side, extremely concerned and used sleep powder on him and patted him on the head to sleep. When Eris would move he'd quickly rush her.

The wolf had reared it's ugly head, he grabbed the scruff of her clothes and pulled her up as her feet left the floor, baring his fangs at her. "Don't you- DOn't FUC- fucking talk about her. You don't get to talk like you know anything about her." He contemplated doing more to her but the small voice in the back of his mind stopped him. [break][break]

He let her go as he realized what he was doing. He always knew he had the potential to be cruel but he knew if he did anything chu-e would be on his ass and he doesn't know if he'd forgive himself for doing more. "Speak ill of me again and it'll end worse of me before. Tell chu-e about what I did to you just now and you'll face consequences for it." he warned her, that's the only warning she'd get. [break][break]

He kind of laughed a bit to himself, she was right. He had to kill that part of himself. "You know what Eris? You're right. I chose rocket. They're my family now, but you? Heh. At least im still wanted, you're nothing but a trophy that got picked up instead of being thrown away like the rest of the trash." He then realized a solution to all of the problems he just created was right in front of him, patting Reiner on the head. [break][break]

"I have to thank you though. You made me realize what I should be Eris. I used to think there were two Bryans. The monster everyone in littleroot saw me for and the kid who wanted to be good that was just trying to get his parent's attention with his little pranks. You should be proud of big bro for finally finding his answer huh?" he grinned as he looked over to Liligant and all his previous guilt washed away. He could fix this, he always could fix it. Why worry? [break][break]

"I think Eris is stressed out too lily, you should help her sleep." he uttered as she slowly made her way over to Eris as well, slightly more concerned in the change in Bryan she witnessed but obeyed. She began to gather the dust from her flower and prepared the sleep powder.

When the Liligant turns her attention towards her, there's nothing but panic and dread that floods her senses. She's backing off but there's nowhere to go, not without Reiner by her side. The sleep powder swirls, mesmerising and dainty despite the intentions behind the act.

The light is fading, she's being swallowed up by the monsters from the deep. Shackled, ensnared, her voice being cut off as they suffocate her and drag her underneath. As she stumbles, the only one she can see is Reiner, still on the ground and so far no matter how she tries to reach. Her arms are getting heavier and her body refuses to move.

At some point, reality blends into a endless void that will hold neither dream nor nightmare for her tonight.
